Goals for 2014

This post was meant to be posted in January. As you can tell, that did not happen. Enjoy!

This is not a post about New Year’s resolutions. In fact, I do not believe in them. Here is why, only 8% of people who make New Year’s resolutions stick to them. If they do stick to them it will last only a week and I would bet most people are out of the game by the end of January. However, I do like setting goals and January is an ideal time to reevaluate your life goals.

I set goals for myself that are realistic and unrealistic. I am not setting myself up to fail but setting an unrealistic goal helps me strive for something better. In that scenario it tends to be about the journey of getting to that point. I may never attain that goal but I will learn something about myself in the process. With that said, you do have to be cautious about setting unrealistic goals. For example, I cannot lost 50 pounds in one week. That would be unrealistic and I would be setting myself up to fail.

I have broken down my goals into different categories to help with organization. Without further ado, here is my list.
