Mental breakdowns aside, this photo shoot turned out to be a fun adventure! Enjoy!
Man of Steel

Lately, I have been researching what it means to be a man. I have been using many resources to dig into this and figure this out for myself. I will get into more of these resources in following blog posts.
Watch this clip from the Man of Steel and ask yourself this question, “Who do you think the real man in this clip is?”
The Man PostMy Journey to a Primal/Paleo Lifestyle

On April 1st of this year I pulled the trigger and joined a weight loss program at Huber Personalized Medicine. On that day I weighed 283 pounds with a body fat percentage of 37.3. I had 75 pounds of risky fat. In other words I was obese. This was the most I had ever weighed in my life. Aside from that I knew my body was unhealthy. You know it is time to lose weight when it is difficult to put your socks on! I could not wear my favorite t-shirts and had to wear the same shirts cause those fit me at the time. I knew it was time for a change but I could not find the strength on my own.

I still remember my first garden. I was a little dude and my father and I planted some seeds in the ground and watched them grow. The “Easter Bunny” brought me some gardening tools and seed that year. Fast forward to last year and I revisited the desire to start my own garden. In my spare time I learn as much information I can about gardening. At the end of this post I will list some resources that have helped me along the way. Enjoy the progression of our garden through these photos!
gardeningGoals for 2014

This is not a post about New Year’s resolutions. In fact, I do not believe in them. Here is why, only 8% of people who make New Year’s resolutions stick to them. If they do stick to them it will last only a week and I would bet most people are out of the game by the end of January. However, I do like setting goals and January is an ideal time to reevaluate your life goals.

Photography, Photography JournalRevisiting Honduras

I am revisiting Honduras but I am not there in person. I am sitting in front of my computer reminiscing about my previous trips. My first trip to Honduras was in 2010 with Vineyard Westside. People who experience a trip like this will always say “My life is changed and will never be the same.” In my […]
Travel JournalPortrait Shoot: Hailey and Hannah

This was my last photo session that I did. The one thing I remember from this day is that it was hot… really hot. It was challenging at times since kids in general hate posing for photos plus the heat factor did not make it any easier. It was important to try to keep it fun and relaxed. Overall they did a great job. Enjoy the pics!
Photography JournalAround the Farm

Before we headed out to the mountains we did some work around the farm or the mission base. This is where teams arrive and are stationed before they leave for the mountains. At this point in the trip we still have beds, toilets and showers. No flushing of the TP permitted and it is recommended that everyone takes three minute showers to conserve the hot water. There is a possibility of scorpions climbing under the sheets… so nightly inspections are required.
