A Quiet Before the Turn
There’s a particular quiet that settles in a room just before you leave it for the last time.
The desk is the same. The chair still creaks. The light falls across the page the way it always has. And yet—something has shifted.
Among the Realm has been that room for a long time.
This blog has held my early thoughts, half-formed prayers, wrestled questions, and small victories. It’s where I learned how to put words to the weight of ordinary days. Where faith wasn’t polished, but practiced. Where growth came slowly, like roots pushing through stubborn soil.
Why Change?
Seasons change. And writers, if they’re honest, change with them.
This post isn’t a goodbye born of dissatisfaction. It’s a farewell born of direction.
Over time, I’ve felt a quiet pull—subtle but persistent—toward a different kind of writing space. One that feels more like correspondence than proclamation. Less like publishing, more like sending letters across a shared table.

Not a replacement for what’s been here—but a continuation of the journey.
Some of the words written here still matter deeply to me. Over time, I’ll be bringing a handful of favorite pieces with me—revisiting them, refining them, and adapting them for this new letter-shaped space.
